THE DONNYBROOK FAIR
The Donnybrook Fair has been a proud tradition in Walsh, Ontario, since 1857. Celebrating 167 years in 2026, the fair will take place September 18–20 at 1258 Turkey Point Road. Each year, the three-day event brings together families, schools, local businesses, volunteers, and community members for a weekend celebrating agriculture, creativity, entertainment, and community spirit.
Children from Walsh Public School, St. Michael’s School, neighbouring schools, and local home-schooling families are invited to participate by entering their arts, crafts, and locally grown agricultural products for the chance to earn ribbons and prize money.
The Donnybrook Fair continues to thrive thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and the generous support of the community. Fundraising events are held throughout the year to help support the fair, maintain and improve the Community Centre, and provide activities and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Recent improvements to the Community Centre, made possible through fundraising and grants, include central air conditioning, new windows, insulation, and siding. Our commercial stage also serves the wider community and is available for rental for events throughout the area.
The name “Donnybrook Fair” dates back to an early settler of Walsh, who felt that the local fair reminded him of the famous annual horse fair once held in Donnybrook, Dublin.

MISSION AND MEMBERS
Mission Statement: To maintain and preserve the Charlotteville Agricultural Society, also known as the Donnybrook Fair, for future generations. We strive to provide a safe and respectful environment where all are welcome to attend and participate in the events of the annual fall fair. Competitive exhibits are held each year for all ages to promote our local agriculture and community.
